Garbage Collection By-Law

North Bay City Council has amended By-Law 135-92, the City garbage collection By-Law that reduces the number of waste bags/ containers that can be placed out for garbage collection. The By-Law also limits the use of cardboard boxes as waste containers. This new initiative comes into effect July 1, 2002.

WHY?

To save valuable landfill space and to encourage participation in waste diversion programs.
