Outdoor Skating Rinks In North Bay

Outdoor rinks provide a valuable leisure experience in your own neighborhood. This year's program will be dependent on volunteers for rink start up, maintenance, building supervision and programming. If there are no volunteers, there will be no rink in your neighborhood!!

Outdoor Ice Permit Program

Attention Hockey and Ringette Coaches - Outdoor Ice available for practice!

The City of North Bay, Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services Department have committed rink caretakers to the Caldwell / Ellam Park, Greenhill, Police Playground, Kinette Playground, Circle Lake and Kerr Park rinks. The caretaker will assist in the provision of regular ice maintenance (flooding and shovelling) and facilitate the building doors being open consistent hours during the rink season.

As a result designated times will be available to teams for booking practice permits. The ice time will be rented to local hockey and ringette teams at a rate of $20.00 / hour plus GST at Kerr Park, Caldwell / Ellam Parks and Police Playground only.
